First Responders, Also known as ECA (Emergency Care
Attendants)
First responders are the front line of the system. Trained in
basic first aid, CPR and communications they are usually based out of
volunteer services in the community.

First response training is community based and
available.
Check with your local county or hospital based EMS
system for information.
These are the gals and Guys that are on the scene first.
The people that you could be helping are your neighbors.
If you have the interest look into the local volunteer
fire service and or the local Search and Rescue organization. We do
need your help. The training is usually free. If there is a charge for
training please consult your state fire training web site. (Google
can find them for you) |
